Painter, graphic artist and sculptor, born in Basel in 1903, died in Zurich in 1987.
ACTIVITIES :
Painting, drawing, graphics, illustration, murals.
BIOGRAPHICAL DATA:
1917-20 KGS Basel. 1923-25 traineeship with Willy Furrer. Member of GSMBA Basel.
1929-32 Regular study stays in Provence and in Italy.
932 Member of the Academie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris.
Further study stays in Spain and England. 1935 Move from Basel to Zurich.
1940-45 military service. 1945 founding of a Holidays academy in Clarens, Vaud.
From 1949 to 1951, he traveled to Morocco and Algeria.
1954-69 Studies of the Greeks, Etruscans, Romans and the great fresco painters.
From 1969 to 1970, he executed the large fresco in Tel Aviv.
In 1972, he study stays in Crete.
