Jean Demoulin was the ebonist of the Prince de Condé. Born at Selongey,
Côte d'Or 13th august 1715. Dead at Dijon 2nd july 1798.
Demoulin worked at Paris about 1745 for the Prince de Condé, gouverneur of this region,
the Bourgogne of today. On the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI, Demoulin got the
invitation of the Prince de Condé to come back to Dijon. On 29th january 1780 he got at
Dijon new letters of mastership. He opened, rue de Condé, an important magazin till 1788.

Mathieu de Bauve became master on 1754 at Paris. His workshop was rue de
Cléry. He was well known for his fabrication of chairs, fauteuils
and canapés. His works had an extraordinary quality. Died about 1786.
