An elegant and important secretary chest "à abattant", France, Paris about 1750. Furniture in rosewood and palisander. Inlaid with fine flower bouquets in several fruit woods. Stamped by: J. DEMOULIN. Applications in gilded bronze, the top in marble "Brèche d'Alep". The soft lines of this furniture give to this important masterpiece its charming elegance.

Dead at Dijon 2nd july 1798. - - - - - - - - -- Demoulin worked at Paris about 1745 for the Prince de Condé, gouverneur of this region, the Bourgogne of today. - - - - - - - - -- On the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI, Demoulin got the invitation of the Prince de Condé to come back to Dijon.

On 29th january 1780 he got at Dijon new letters of mastership. He opened, rue de Condé, an important magazin till 1788.
